You’re a pretty flower who stands out
A cool demeanor leaves no doubt
There’s so much depth to your star

“A True Star”

The first time our eyes met, I knew from the start
You were pleasant and cool like the autumn wind
Maybe it was your way of seeing the sad side of me
The way you smiled wasn’t lost on me that day
Even as I drifted and died during that time, I always felt I’d see you again
You saw me at my lowest point when I was broken
But sometimes, things are understood during such moments
The next time you saw me, you were so kind
It was then that I realized special people still exist
As I got more comfortable, I started to talk to you
You were so nice and handled things with grace
It really helped me rediscover who I truly am
As the weather changed, so did my whole outlook
It was more positive and understanding of things
You never changed the unique person you are
You are warm like the sun on a beautiful day
A true star
Shines brightly

The spotlight is never too big for you at all
That’s why I believe in you and think you’ll be a success
Somehow, you taught me so much in our little chats
That winning smile and mesmerizing style comes through
I never thought I’d ever feel the way I do about you
That someone who really gets it can make me see better days
Even in my latest struggle, I no longer look behind
Instead, I look forward and appreciate so much more
That one day, I told you what you meant wasn’t even hard
Had it been another time, I wouldn’t have said anything
In that moment, you deserved to hear the truth
I respect who you are and enjoy speaking with you
When I gave you the card, you thanked me for it
Even though I asked what you thought later, I didn’t want to make a big deal
It was the thought that counts, which I nicely expressed
You can light up even the darkest days like the full moon

“The Cool Chick”

You were just the cool chick
I met by accident
Things fell into place where I felt we were floating in space
All up in the atmosphere
Going off on a tangent so magnificent
Enjoying the real fantasy
We all see as I admired your pretty face
Your magnified image had me from day one
You were the special one
You offered words of wisdom when I needed it in tough times
That woke me up from a long nap
To remember what I want to become
Over time, the energy and motivation came back
Along with the rhythm and funky ass rhymes
Now, I know who I am once again
You made it all come back through your positive message
I started seeing a brighter picture
My photographic memory saw a true work of art
Dancing in the spotlight and creating quite a vision
Now, all I can see are the words in my head
Pure inspiration to write a dope track
There’s not a day that goes by that I’m reminded of you
Making me wish for hugging and kissing
Let’s get together one of these nights and just chill real late
We’ll watch the sunset and moonrise
As I recite lyrics that spark your electrifying eyes
When we first met, I didn’t think much
But maybe it was just fate
I think you’re dynamite who lit the fireworks that didn’t tell lies
I saw you when you were the cool chick
When I was down, we met by chance
I never realized how I’d react
Only that I was mesmerized by your beauty
It all felt like a dream
The good kind for once that I’d bring to the dance
Now, I don’t know how to act
There’s things I’d like to tell you, which you truly deserve
You’re the essence of a pleasant person, whose star shines brightly
Between those fly brown locks and your golden eyes, I feel like I touched the sky
I’m sitting outside studying the moon where I see you nightly
You got me shook like a slick crook
I’m George Clooney, chasing J-Lo
In out of sight wondering why
A smooth criminal who decided to take a timeout from our game
Because, like you said once, ‘Life’s a gamble’
Let’s live dangerously on the edge
So, I chase you even when the stakes are high
I’m so close, I can almost taste you
I’ll risk it because you’re worth it
Even if you take me to the ledge
Because deep down, you’re the cool chick
Who can paint pictures never ever seen before
No matter what, you can light up each day with that winning smile
You’re all the colors of a rainbow after a storm, which is part of your folklore
I haven’t forgotten that fly outfit
From that first time, you were the cool chick
Who’s always in style with a smile
So let’s chill for a while
“The Note”

In a place where we talked
Into a different dimension
It was as if only we existed
I could hear a song playing in the car
When the radio wasn’t on
And I’d see your pretty face
Along with that pleasant smile
You did it for me when I was down
You brought me up back into existence
With your positive thoughts
The words hit home when they were needed
It helped save me from the darkness
Changing my direction into the light
You stood tall and shined bright
You were the spark that woke me up
The real fireworks on the fourth
That I showed you last month
Because you deserved to see it
To show you the person I am
We cared for one another
Even though we hardly knew each other
That was the friendship we built
It’s why you told me you were leaving
I was a day late when I realized it
So, I had to do something
That way, I could express my true feelings
And wish you the best of luck
I know you’ll kill it
Like the star that you are
Seize the day and go far
Fly like an eagle in the sky
That’s how I picture you so high
Thoughts of you could make me cry
Tears of happiness for what you did
Thank you for helping me get through
I’ll miss you around here
But know that you belong over there
Taking the next big step
A quantum leap into your life

I love how cool you are
Unlike others, you shine bright like a star
With a magic sparkle in your eyes
Reminding of the fancy jewelry making you fly
I want to be with you in your world
Experience thrills together raining diamond necklaces and pearls
Enjoy that Kool Aid smile that lights up my day
