It’s the perfect day if you have the will

We can discover why life’s great

Instead of procrastinating over what we hate

Explore territory that brings peace

Allowing us to come together in one piece

You can’t put a price on love

Just take it all in and look up above

A pretty picture in the sky

That makes us wish we could fly

There’s a boat sailing in the ocean

That makes us full of emotions

The waves provide a unique sound

A lasting image that goes round and round

It’s a reminder of all that’s right

The allure of a beautiful sight

It’s one that’s brightening our day

A picturesque July summer July day going our way down by the bay

It brings lots of joy and lots of smiles

Let’s hang out and stay for a while

Watch the sunset under the light

Overlooking the earth

As a tower of power

It never loses its appeal

For all to see by the sea

Over by the sea

Boats light up the shore

Exploring the night waves

It makes for a unique sight

For viewers over by the park

Creating a peaceful calm around sunset

That takes our minds off the muggy conditions

It’s all about seeing a different worldview

Stand up on top and take a picture

That will change your perspective

Allowing us to see things from another angle

From a dimension beyond comprehension

Into a level that makes us think

The surroundings provide the answers

To the question about what makes life so special

All you have to do is open your eyes

And take a closer look

You’ll experience something you haven’t before

That’ll have you appreciating so much more

There once was a time

I truly cared for you

It genuinely felt like sunshine

You made me proud as you grew

We used to be very close

But after a while, you distanced yourself

Why it happened, I’ll never know

Maybe it was my battles with mental health

I always reached out the best I can

It doesn’t matter where you are now

You are authentic, and I’ll forever be a fan

If we ever saw each other again, I don’t know how

I wouldn’t even know what to say to you

Except that what you’ve achieved is special

Deep down back then, I kinda knew

You wanted to go your own way to reach this level

At this point, I’m fine with your decision

I just wish we’d kept in touch

Not seeing you made me feel like I was punished or in prison

For what, I don’t know the reasons or such

Whatever happened, that was your call

I still have nothing but love for you

Even if there were head games that drove me up the wall

It’s important to do you and stay true

Sometimes, things aren’t meant to be

Even when I thought I went pretty far

I have no regrets anymore, but only glee

No matter what, you’ll always be a shining star

The night air rises

From the ashes above

It turns into smog

That creates a dense fog

Sapping the energy

From the poor souls outside

Who ponder why the day was easier

Than this rotten humidity

Each late night

Feels like an eternity

Leaving an uneasiness

And an uncertainty

If only nature would let up

The rain could actually cool things off

Instead of the muggy conditions

That makes us search for oxygen

It begins one sleepless night for no reason

You’re left awake instead of dreaming

The struggle surrounds you the next day

You start to feel numb already

Your energy is still good enough to fight through

It becomes an uphill battle you once knew

It gets tougher the next day on short rest

You can’t describe why it’s happening, but it feels like a test

Slowly, things become harder as each hour passes

If only your eyes would stay shut, you wouldn’t call for the masses

In your head, that’s how you think

Deep down, you’re starting to blink

Darkness can be felt all around during this heatwave

It leads to frustration even though you behave

You continue to do things to pass the time

Keep on battling like an mc with wicked rhymes

It’s hard to understand why your nocturnal state is a mess

Even now, you don’t feel under stress

You’ve been doing all the right things to make the summer great

As you close your eyes, you’re not filled with hate

Only exasperation over the struggle

Just once, you wish to be free of the bubble

You’re in bed a bit earlier tonight

In hopes that you can make things right

Tomorrow is a new day to start over

Hopefully, you’ll feel rested and move forward to another

It’s that positive approach that you have to believe in

I saw you yesterday at work

Chilling while dealing with customers

Your day was almost over

It wasn’t that busy, which was good

You noticed that the birthday card I bought had an envelope inside

Foolish me, I didn’t even realize until you said something

That’s why you’re good at your job

You seem to manage things well

I liked your shirt that highlighted tennis

No wonder since I’m a fan of the sport

You sarcastically said it was just a random shirt

But it actually looked nice on you

I guess you have that affect on me

I see things others don’t pick up on

Paying compliments to a cool person I like

It’s your winning personality that is easy to see

There should be more women like you around

Who doesn’t take things so seriously

I’d also say that the way you are makes you even more attractive

Like a lovely flower that stands out on a summer day

A pretty smile and warm complexion that could melt the sun

You have a calm demeanor that shows off self-confidence

I remember that from the first time we met

It was much colder, and you listened to what I said

That was a very different time for me

I wasn’t myself and felt down over things

For a while, it was a real struggle

You didn’t see me again til the end of the month

The way you reacted was something that stuck with me

Sometimes, the unexpected can be a pleasant surprise

It’s kind of like your mesmerizing eyes

I could get lost in them if I wanted to, but I’m more confident now

You have a quality that makes you so real

That’s something I view as truly authentic

Only the best possess that deep in their heart

Yours is as sweet as chocolate on Valentine’s Day

Now, it’s ice cream and ices weather

I’d love to take you for dessert and chill

Kick back, relax, and talk about the beauty in the world

Much like the fireworks and picturesque sunset I showed you

Inner beauty comes from within

Inner beauty gives us something to believe in

You are magic since I’ve known you

A true work of art that lights up the dark blue

Inner beauty allows us to discover who we are

Inner beauty always comes through a spotlight on a shining star

Your star is golden every day
