You seemed ready to go home

Sometimes, work can be a bore

You can’t always be in the zone

You put in the time all week

You deserved to have off today

I understand that you didn’t want to speak

Hopefully, next week will go your way

You are very dedicated to what you do

One day, you’ll find something new

It’s what makes you so true

No matter what, you’ll always be cool

Some days feel longer like today

I know things will get better

You’re wonderful in every way

You’ll get far because you’re a go-getter

I wish I could tell you why I care

I’m pretty sure you know how I feel

I see you as a true beauty with lovely hair

Compared to most, you’re for real

It’s easy to see why I fell for you

You have a beautiful way of expressing yourself

It’s no wonder you roll with a good crew

You’ve been good for my mental health

Maybe it can’t be more than what we are

I’ll take it because you’re simply the best

Keep being authentic and a true shining star

It’s your character that puts you above the rest

I’ll bet you got good grades in school

I know what it’s like to feel down

Yet your pretty smile improved my mood

At that moment, I already knew that you were true

You had a cool way about you that stood

Maybe it helped me to focus on the important stuff

Since then, my attention to detail has changed

I finally got tired of struggling and had enough

In over two months, I’ve turned the page

I know you had a dramatic effect on why

You always were so positive in our chance encounters

That infectious smile and nice personality caught my eye
