Hitting Back is something that originated a decade ago. A way for me to connect my observations on life, music, poetry, and sports.

As we zoom into the moon
Full of wonder and intrigue
Can we see June
Full of warmth and mystique
Its glow could be a spotlight
Shining brightly for us to see
A golden light taking flight
Is it real or fantasy
Giving us a different view
That makes us think outside the box
Of something unique and cool
Creating a poetic image full of shock
There’s another world we don’t know
That exists in parallel time
What must it be like to go
Maybe we can sometime

She has the nicest smile
Of anyone I know
It can last a while
With her lovely glow
A true work of art
With elegance and class
More precious than Mozart
Due to her sass
A unique style
That’s all her own
It’s stored on file
‘Cause she’s in a zone
A bright, shiny light
Who always stands out
That can fly into the starlight
A mesmerizing woman who leaves no doubt
You have soft lips and a shiny face
That I can still see from far away in a quiet place
A sunny angel who flies like an eagle and soars
Your bright light on a stormy day as the waves roar
Your style is impeccable due to having unique taste
It’s authentic like you and originally based
White is the color I like best
Converse All-Stars that stand out from the rest
You look like the beach on a beautiful day
All tan and lovely like I noticed yesterday
A free spirit whose energy and enthusiasm are undeniable
That’s kind of how I see you when you’re so reliable
You have a precious smile that reminds me of the sun
It’s so warm that it brightens things up even when the day isn’t fun
You’re easy to talk to, which you deserve to know
That’s due to your mesmerizing glow and insane flow
“Over The Moon”

Into a galaxy far from here
That still reminds me of June
It’s very different from what we know
But way out into a virtual unknown
If you zoom in, you’ll notice its glow
Along with another dimension and zone
I can’t describe everything I see
All I know is that’s what I felt for you
Maybe being over the moon is an escape from reality
For the past summer, that was true
That’s why I expressed myself
I see you as that diamond in the sky
Whatever I said, you really helped
It doesn’t matter what happens or why
No matter what, I’ll be over the moon
Thinking of you with my unselfish heart
You truly are that rare super blue moon
I’ll always view you as a total sweetheart

Always shows
It warms up the city
