“In Your Eyes”

“In Your Eyes”

By Derek Felix AKA DFlex

It’s late at night

And I can’t sleep

I lay awake in my bed

Pondering thoughts that dance around

They’re all around

For me to see

The spinning images going round and round

It’s as if I’m lost at sea

Nowhere to run

Nowhere to hide

Still searching for the sun

On a one-way ticket to ride

In your eyes

The picture is unclear

In your eyes

I still can’t find my way up there

But I can see

A blurry light up ahead

With a foggy mystery

As more visions appear in my head

There’s a different place

I’m still looking for

That leads into outer space

Creating a unique folklore

It’s what I desire

More than anything

My heart’s on fire

No longer full of broken wings

In your eyes

Something special lies ahead

In your eyes

Words don’t even need to be said
